Why choose a non-native accent coach?
01
I taught myself how to sound British, and have dealt with all the struggles a Slavic person goes through while reducing their accent. I know exactly what difficulties you have and how to help.
Mastery
02
I can explain differences and similarities between English and Slavic languages, hear all the tiny slips you make and guide you through challenging topics in the easiest and clearest way possible.
Precision
03
Having worked primarily with students from post-Soviet countries, I also know psychological and cultural barriers that might be stopping you from sounding confident.
Relatability
my before and after
My approach:
anatomy and science
Not just 'listen to me and repeat'. I'll explain exactly what happens in your mouth and how to train your muscles to sound British.
personalisation
Regardless of the type of lesson you pick, I'll be watching you closely and giving you detailed individual feedback.
accessability
No need for any experience with music, phonetics, or a degree in linguistics. All you need is a clear goal and willingness to train.
Who are my lessons for?

British English fans
Actors and public speakers
Educators and entrepreneurs
Immigrants and travellers
You are passionate about British culture, accents, shows, humour. You love listening to British people and want to speak beautifully, like them.
You would like to expand your portfolio, break free from stereotypical roles, stand out at castings. You have a fear of speaking on public or on camera and want to finally enjoy speaking.
You would like to sound professional, attract more clients, minimise miscommunication, and show your expertise.
You're moving to the UK or already live there, but feel very much like a foreigner. You want to integrate better, understand the locals and the culture, be in on jokes and feel more relaxed in different social situations.

Why work on your accent?

UNDERSTAND
No more awkward moments, confusions and 'Sorry, could you repeat that?'. When you work on sounds, intonation, linking and so on, your listening skills improve drastically too.
BELONG
You'll feel more included into the culture and be perceived as having a higher level of English. You'll finally stop feeling like the odd one out in the company of British people.
IMPRESS
You'll stop being perceived as less professional or competent because of your accent. You'll fell more confident while speaking in public, giving a presentation, or filming a video.
ACHIEVE
Pass an exam, stand out at a job interview, get a new role, impress your British friends, move to the UK, understand your university phonetics course. There is a world of possibilities for people who work on their speech!
Before and after
Accent assumptions

IT'S TOO LATE TO WORK ON MY ACCENT. No matter the age, you can still sound near-native! Accent is a muscle that you can train, and the more you do it, the better you will sound. Your success depends more on the amount of practice rather than your age.
NO ONE CARES ABOUT MY ACCENT. While it's definitely true that you just need a clear pronunciation to get by and travel, developing a certain accent is going to open more doors for you. It'll allow for deeper understanding, professional growth, integration, and connections with people. Not everyone needs a C2 level of English, and not everyone needs a near-native accent. So if you feel like this level of work aligns with your goals and you're ready to dive deeper, then it's absolutely worth it!
I ALWAYS LOSE MOTIVATION AND STRUGGLE TO FINISH COURSES. You don't need motivation alone, you need a clear goal and a routine that works. Building daily habits has been proved to be a lot more effective than spontaneous bursts of motivation. As a teacher, I will make sure you build an effective routine and get closer to your goal, no matter if you feel more or less motivated as you do so.
I DON'T NEED A TEACHER, ONLY YOUTUBE. YouTube and similar sources are amazing! However, a teacher will provide you with a structured step-by-step system, notice and correct all the smallest flaws in your accent that stop you from being understood, and prevent you from being lost in the sea of contradictory information.
I DON'T LIVE IN THE UK, SO IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO SOUND BRITISH. Living in the UK doesn't guarantee automatic effortless accent acquisition. You still have to put yourself out there and find ways to practise. Similarly, you can create your own British bubble at home, with proper articulation training, listening and speaking out loud. It's definitely achievable if you're ready to work for it!
